The 2008 Lincoln City FC Golf Day took place on Thursday with 24 teams taking part in the competition, which was held in the sunshine at Welton Manor Golf Centre.

The day turned out to be a highly successful and enjoyable one, with the team representing The Danwood Group emerging as the winners of the stableford event. The members of the winning team won an Executive Box for a match during next season whilst the runners up, namely Grant Brown, Alan Marriott, Lenny John-Lewis and Danny Hone won showerproof jackets, sponsored by Kingston Communications. Director Bob Dorrian, meanwhile, helped his Butterfly Poultry team to a third placed finish; their prize being Domino's Pizza vouchers.

Danny Hone also picked up the prize of an Audi for the weekend, sponsored by Lincoln Audi, for the longest drive whilst the nearest the pin winner was Phil Hanby of Kingston Communications who won his height in beer, sponsored by Marstons Smooth. The best individual score went to Simon Pegg of The Danwood Group, who won a golf bag sponsored by Imps Direct, the Club's online discount shop for Imps' fans.
