Jacko Update
Iffy Onuora gives us an update on the gaffer.
The Chairman and I visited the gaffer yesterday morning and it was great to see him in such good spirit. His treatment is now over and you can tell that he's recovering well, although we don't want him to return too early.
He's a lot more mobile and Alison said that she's seen a real improvement over the last couple of days which is a real boost for him.
The family are now taking a short holiday before what will hopefully be the return of Peter Jackson in a few weeks, fully fit and raring to go.
Whilst with Peter we obviously discussed possible targets over the summer and the current squad. Preparing the squad for next season is Peter's number one aim when he returns to work, but he also stressed how important it was to get the whole city behind his promotion push. He's a very passionate man who fully believes that this club is destined for bigger and better things, and he's determined to sell over 3,000 season tickets before the start of the season.
We're all really looking forward to seeing the gaffer back in his role as manager, and the best possible way to welcome him back would be if all our season ticket holders from last season renewed their ticket now and showed Peter Jackson that they believe in him and his team.
Let's do it for the gaffer!
Iffy
