The Imps will be looking to put a dent in Peterborough United's title aspirations on Saturday afternoon when they travel to London Road to take on Darren Ferguson's promotion-chasing Posh.

A win for Peterborough on Saturday will take them back to the top of the League 2 table and extend their unbeaten League run to 16 matches whilst anything other than a defeat for the Imps will see them hit the 50-point mark and consolidate their mid-table position.

City go into the game on the back of a fine 2-1 win over third-placed Hereford United but with skipper Scott Kerr serving the first of a four match suspension following his dismissal against the Bulls, assistant manager Iffy Onuora will be forced to shuffle things around in the middle of the park.

Onuora has a number of options at his disposal, though, with Shane Clarke and teenager Martin Pembleton joined in the squad by Lee Frecklington, who got an hour of action under his belt in the midweek reserve game at Leeds United, and Ryan Amoo who is approaching full fitness following his recent knee injury.

Elsewhere in the squad and Lee Ridley will be hoping to recover from the ankle injury which forced him off against Hereford whilst Lee Beevers has been responding well to treatment to the knock he sustained during the defeat at Barnet which forced him to sit out Monday's win at Sincil Bank.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson will be without strikers Craig Mackail-Smith (hamstring) and Liam Hatch (back) whilst the former Wrexham midfielder won't be able to select Claude Gnapka due to suspension.

City supporters are reminded that it's pay on the day at London Road with the kick-off being 3.00pm. The referee is Andy Haines from Tyne & Wear, whose last match in charge of the Imps was the Boxing Day clash at Bradford City.
