Scottish-born George Peden was a full-back who developed into one of the Club's most loyal and effective defenders since the Second World War.
Peden went straight into the first team after signing and established a run of over 100 consecutive appearances before he lost his place.
He stayed at Sincil Bank several years, suffering a badly broken leg at Scunthorpe in March 1971 which put him out of action for some time.
Best remembered for his powerful tackling and thundering penalty kicks, Peden was voted Lincoln City "Player Of The Season" in 1972/73 and shared a testimonial against Chelsea with John Kennedy in his final season.
Peden later returned to Scotland where he was employed by a double glazing firm and had a spell as manager of the Bonnyrigg club.
