Details of our Sportsmans Dinner's 2008 here at Sincil Bank
Following the success of last year's Sportsman's Dinners at Sincil Bank, we are delighted to announce details of this years events in the Trust Suite, with Howard Kendall, Norman Hunter and Bill Beaumont, all visiting Sincil Bank in 2008.
The price for each event is £390 + vat for a table of 10, which includes a 3 course meal. To book a table for any of the events call the Commercial Department on (01522) 563783.
You can book a table at all three events to get a discounted rate of £350 + vat for each event, but payment is required on booking.

Thursday 13th March 2008 -7.00pm - NORMAN HUNTER
World Cup winner Norman Hunter was born in 1943 and played for Barnsley, Bristol City and Leeds United. Normans superb career began back in 1961 and lasted 22 years. Norman "Bite yer legs" Hunter played a remarkable 724 times for Leeds United, scoring 21 goals.
He went on to play 28 times for England and was a squad member of the famous 66 World Cup winning squad. Norman and the great Jack Charlton were a defensive partnership that clearly laid the foundations of what was to be a great Leeds United era at the late 60s and early 70s under Don Revie. Norman will always be remembered as one of the games great characters winning The League Cup, The Fairs Cup and PFA Player of The Year Award in a glittering career.
Norman is still a favourite at Elland Road and can be seen on match days as a Hospitality host. Norman has many a tale and stories to share.
Thursday 25th September 2008 - 7.00pm - HOWARD KENDALL
Howard Kendall was born in 1946 and began his football career at Preston North End and at the time, he was the youngest player ever to appear in the FA Cup final in 1964. He signed for Everton in 1967 where he helped Everton to the old 1st Division Championship in 1969/70 season. He became club captain for the next 3 years before later moving on to Birmingham in 1974 and then Stoke City where he won promotion to the 1st division in 78/79.
Later in management Howard guided Everton to The Milk Cup final in 84 and won the FA Cup defeating Watford. The following season Everton went on to win the league and the Cup Winners Cup in Europe. A move to Spain followed where he managed at Athletic Bilbao and he has since managed Man City, Sheff Utd and Notts County.
Howard will always be fondly remembered for his contribution to football and particularly his time at Goodison Park with Everton both as a player and a manager
Thursday 6th November 2008 - 7.00pm - BILL BEAUMONT
Former England Rugby captain Bill Beaumont, was a key figure for English rugby during his career picking up 34 caps in the process between 1975 and 1982 when injury brought his career to a premature halt. He lead the side out as captain 21 times including the great side that won the Grand Slam in 1980, which was the first time this had been achived for 23 years. He also played 7 times for the British Lions between 77 and 80 captaining them on 4 occasions.
Bill has also appeared on TVs very popular Question of Sport series with Ian Botham. In 1982 Bill was rewarded for his services to rugby with an OBE. He is now heavily involved at Twickenham in the development of the game.
